Construction and contraction joints are provided in flooring for day break joints and stress release to accommodate for panelling, width to length aspect ratio. Saw cut joints are made with concrete diamond blade saw cutters.
These joints are filled with joint sealants of type Polysulphide, Polyurethane for indoor application. For Outdoor pavements and road works Bituminous sealants are used.
Steel Fibres – A new possibility of floor reinforcement
Steel Fibres are considered as alternate form of reinforcement for conventional reinforcement in Industrial Floors. With new generation of steels fibres in shapes and forms gives limitless possibility of reinforcing your floors in Seamless Floors, Jointless Floors and regular saw cut floors.
Steel fibres are structurally reinforcing concrete floors and contribute to moment carrying capacity of floors and redistribution of cracks and crack width control. The True replacement for conventional Reinforcing Bars.
Synthetic Fibres Reduce concrete shrinkage potential
Synthetic Fibres are the choice for usage in exposed concrete pavement. With it advantage of low E modulus it can prevent plastic and drying shrinkage cracks in concrete at early stage of concreting. Concrete pavements are normally subject with high temperature and wind movement in open environmental castings.
Synthetic Fibres are the choice for usage in counter early hours stresses. It can be used in combination with Steel Fibres or Rebar for added benefits
Hardeners for Abrasion, wear & impact resistance
Industrial floors are subject to heavy traffic of truck movements (MHE, BOV, Trolleys). These vehicles impound range of abrasive and wear to floor and their wheel composition (Plastic, Rubber and Steel). To resist such high wear and tear floors hardeners are specified based on Classification of Abrasion Class
(AR 0.5, AR 1, AR 2, AR 3)
Floors Hardeners are also available in range of colours for better aesthetics and performance. Best of both worlds
Joint Profiles to Armour your construction Joint
Joints in floors are often damage due vehicular traffic across the joints and edges are damaged. To repair these joints in operational facility is tedious and expensive. Steel Joint profiles are ideal way to protect your floor joints with our range of armour joints - Alpha, Eclipse and Signature range of profiles
Dowel Plates for load transfer are easy to install load transfer device across construction joints. Diamond Dowel Plate systems offers advantage over conventional round bar and sleeve mechanism
Industrial floors requires dustproof, gloss & shean, sometimes with coloured range toppings. Densifiers (Lithium, Pottasium, Sodium) penetrates through the porous concrete surface and densifies the surface by forming additional crystal silicates. During Grinding process is very important to seal pores. This is important for dust proofing of concrete surface
Sealers combined with polishing process enhances the look of concrete with sheen and glossy. Sealers for Oil resistance, Acid Resistance and water resistance are available
Coatings on industrial floors are applied to enhance the aesthetic look and seamless floor. It is a mandatory requirement for hygiene industry (Pharma, Agro, Food Industry and Cold Stores). Coatings are also vibrant in colour and bring life to industrial floor against grey look. It is easy to clean.
For vehicular traffic areas suitable coatings and thickness needs to be designed and maintained.
Concrete requires water for hardening, setting and workability. The excess water demand for workability shall be reduced by adding plasticisers in concrete. The floor concrete requires flowable and cohesive mix. Superplasticisers helps in achieving flowable concrete with reduced water.
Super Plasticiser comes in ranges of poly corboxylic ether (PCE ), Sulfonate naphthalene formaldehyde (SNF ) to give water reduction of 10 to 30 percantage.
Curing of concrete is an important process in achieving hardening and setting properties of concrete. Curing compounds are alternate way of curing concrete in place of conventional water curing techniques. It poses greater advantage in retaining mixed water in concrete from evaporation and also in case of early curing needed. It is also very useful where water curing not possible.
Curing compounds are available in film forming wax based and non film forming.
The concrete shrinks by the natural process of interaction of cement and water. For larger pour like concrete pouring with large surface to volume ratio rate of shrinkage is high. To compensate for shrinkage in concrete shrinkage additives – Shrinkage reduction or Shrinkage compensation compounds are used.
Shrinkage reducing admixtures are used for large bay pours with skewed panel ratio. It is also helpful in open pours .
Slip membrane or moisture barrier sheet are typically made of High Density Poly Ethylene (HDPE) and Low Density Poly Ethylene (LDPE) and used as separate layer as well vapour barrier between sublayer below and concrete floor. Separation layer is important for reducing friction between old sublayer and newly laid fresh concrete to avoid shrinkage due to friction.
It is used in 2 layers for large panel casting like jointless floor. It also serves as vapour barrier and prevents moisture from subsoil to pass through the concrete surface. It is very important when coatings on floor is done at later stage.
